Achievements  


Now, our society has its own identity to various departments of Central and State- Government and we are

favored with enquires for different project works. At present, our Society has also a good store with the volume of achievements performing works with diversification and gradually gaining credentials from different corners which are as follows:–

  • We have counseled more than 9900number of enquirers since last Sixteen (16) years and some of them are qualified unemployed, some of them are cultivators and growers, some of them are helpless women and craft persons and others are businessmen and entrepreneurs together with the members of S.H.G. & Anandadhara Groups or from PWD or Minority Categories, etc.  

  • We have trained more than 2900-nos. of qualified unemployed youth in our Training Centreitself at Howrah within last Sixteen years. Most of them have already established their enterprises in the sector of Beautitherapy, Daily Consumable Products, Food, Mushroom, Medicinal Plants, Batik, Tie & Dye, Chemical Products, Appliqué, etc. and Packaging and Marketing and in other Handicrafts Sectors also and some of them are employed in our Organization.

  

 

  • Our Training center was also selected by the West Bengal Consultancy Organization Limited,( of W. Bengal Enterprise) and District Industries Centre of Howrah (Govt. of W. Bengal) during the year, 2007 – 2020 (up to Mid March 2020 ) for organizing ‘Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme‘ on different Trades which was sponsored by DIC-Howrah itself and jointly with the Depts. of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of  W. Bengal and DPO, Howrah jointly with the Food & Nutrition Board, Govt. of India respectively. This Organization ‘HOWRAH GREEN WORLD’ was selected for organizing the above program because of:-

 

  1. i)    It is Centrally situated in the Heart of Howrah Sadar Area of Howrah District.
  2. ii)   It has Convenient Communication availabilities, by Road and Rail both ways.

iii)  There exists a favorable atmosphere for imparting Vocational training.

  1. iv)   It has excellent internal infrastructure etc., which can be found in the context of

       ‘Organizational Profile’ of the Society.

So, our Society has achieved Success in accomplishing various projects in the field of:– 

  1. i)Issuance of Artisan’s I /Card, issued by DC (H) & implementation of  H.A.B.Y /  S.S.Y of LIC(I).
  2. ii)Self-employment oriented training Programme for the Unemployed Youth

iii)   Awareness Programme on Handicrafts & Artisans Development

  1. iv)Local Economic Development Programme
  2. v)     Livelihood Development Programme for SHG Members (Rural & Urban both)
  3. vi) Registration-Cum-Evaluation & Awareness Camp and Distribution of Aid &  Appliances for the

         PWDs (persons with disabilities) under “ADIP” Scheme of Ministry of Social Justice &

         Empowerment, Government Of India.

vii)   National Environment Awareness Camp (NEAC) on the Theme ‘Climate Change / Global

         Warming’.

 

viii)   Skill Development Training Programme on different Trades

  1. ix)Entrepreneurship Development Programme on different Trades
  2. x)Workshops on Export Procedure & Documentation
  3. xi)     ‘MSME National Award Winner’ under Cluster Development Activity  during the year ‘2017’

        & ‘2018’ for both the year.

 

xii)    Prepared “District Skill Development Plan” (DSDP, FY : 2018-2023) as per Order by The ADM(D),

         Howrah, Office of The D.M., Howrah, which was nominated for “National Award” by MSDE, Govt.

        of India, Delhi.

 

xiii)  ‘MSME National Award Winner’ under Cluster Development Activity during the year 2017

        & 2018 for both the year.

 

xiv)   Participation in different Fairs & Exhibitions etc. and Coverage of  Poor peoples’ lives under Micro

         Insurance  as a Corporate Agent of  LIC(I) ………………and many more…………… . 

 

 Finally, this organization presently member of the following Committees & Organizations :

  3. District Child Protection Committee, Howrah District & Sadar (Both)
  4. District Anti-Ragging Cell, Howrah
  5. International Human Rights P.G., (National Council Member)
  6. Anti-Ragging Committee, M/S, B. P. Poddar Engineering College, Kolkata.
  7. NCT (Secretariat) Member, VIBHA, New Delhi

       

         These have been possible by doing sincere and hard work and accuracy of the work performances which help to grow relationship between our society and various departments as well as general people and ensure the perfect execution of work. So, it is needless to say that our Society is continuing to perform various project work with sincere devotion and plays very important role in developing different programs to train the Handicraft Artisans, SHG / SGSY group members, Less Educated and Unemployed Youth, Helpless Women & Child and the PWD category etc.

Other Activities

1)  Regular survey on Cluster Development Activities (Zari–Embroidery,  Imitation Jewellery, Batik, Tie

     &  Dye, Appliqué, Fabric, Jute, Clay, Wood, Sholapith, Rakhi, Hand Embroidery and other different

     Crafts etc.) 

2)   Counseled   and   trained   2160

– Nos. of   Enquirers /  Entrepreneurs  / S.H.G. group members and

      unemployed youth for self-employment. 

4)  As we (HOWRAH GREEN WORLD) are selected For the Formation of CHILD PROTECTION  

     COMMITTEE, we already started the formation process of B.L.C.P.C.in  co-operation with the

     B.D.O.s & C.D.P.O.s of the allotted Blocks for H.G.W. and H.M.C. Area too.  

7)  For the Training Programme of S.H.G.& S.E. group members We have submitted the Training

     Proposal at Domjur, J.B.Pur, Uluberia-I & II, Amta – I and Panchla, etc. Block of Howrah District. 

8)   …………… Apart from the above, a few more Proposals have been submitted in different Districts on different Trades at different Departments / Sectors, etc……………… .
